Server logs

This website stores only the minimum information needed in your browser. No tracking, advertising or analytics cookies are set.

You can remove both items at any time through your browser's settings. Clearing the localStorage entry resets the translation prompt to its default no-load state.

Usage Data

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service, including IP addresses, browser information, pages visited, time spent, device identifiers, and diagnostic data.

For mobile devices, the Service collects device type, unique IDs, operating system, and browser information.

With user permission, the Service may collect pictures and information from device cameras and photo libraries.

Third Party Service Providers

The flirp.cc mobile and web apps themselves do not use third-party tracking, analytics or advertising SDKs.

The website at flirp.cc offers one optional integration with a third-party service:

Optional translation service (Google Translate)

The website's language picker lets you translate this page into a language other than English. Translation is provided by Google Translate, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

By default nothing is loaded from Google's servers. Google Translate is only activated when you actively select a non-English language from the picker and confirm the consent dialog. From that point on:

A translation script is fetched from translate.google.com.
Your IP address and basic browser information (user agent, requested language) are transmitted to Google LLC in the United States.
Page content visible to you is sent to Google's translation servers to be translated on the fly.
A small googtrans cookie is set in your browser to remember the selected target language.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time by selecting "English" from the language picker — this clears the cookie and stops further requests to Google. Clearing your browser's local storage for flirp.cc will also remove the consent record and reset the picker to its default no-load state.

The United States is considered a third country with no automatic adequacy decision. By accepting the translation feature you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed by Google in the USA, where authorities may, under U.S. law, gain access to such data without you being able to take effective legal action against it. Google's own privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

If you do not want this transfer, simply leave the page in English — the website then makes no requests to Google at any point.

Storing Data

If you signed up for flirp.cc, your data is stored in data centers in Germany and France.

End-to-End Encrypted Data

The Service uses state-of-the-art encryption algorithms (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS for secure data transmission.

Spam

Moderators review reported messages to prevent abuse. Confirmed spam reports may result in account limitations or bans.

Use of Your Personal Data

flirp.cc uses Personal Data to:

Provide and maintain the Service
Manage user accounts and registration
Contact users regarding updates and communications

Conduct data analysis, identify trends, and improve the Service

Unless we are legally obligated or work together with Law Enforcement Authorities, we do not share Your personal information.
